Legendary comedian Chris Rock took a savage dig at Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle during a taping of his Netflix show on Saturday, asking why she “didn’t Google the royal family before getting married in all the drama?”
Rock poked fun at Meghan’s 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview, where she infamously claimed an unnamed royal had raised “concerns” about how “dark” their baby was before their son Archie was born. May be.
The 58-year-old comedian left the audience in stitches as he joked that Markle’s complaints against the royal family were just some “in-laws”.
Actress Janina Gaonkar, who has been Meghan Markle’s biggest supporter, also spotted the comedian rocking the Duchess of Sussex, according to Page Six.
“Like, who is this girl Meghan Markle? Seems like a nice woman — just complaining. Like, didn’t she hit the light-skinned lottery?” Rock said to begin his diatribe, before calling the royals “the OGs of racism.”
He mocked the Duchess in a loud voice: “She’s complaining, I’m like, ‘What is she talking about? She’s so racist, she wanted to know that. “How brown. The baby was about to be.”
She added: “I’m like, ‘That’s not racist,’ because black people also want to know how brown the baby is going to be. We check behind their ears.”
Rock also joked that the former Suits star was “acting totally dumb” like she didn’t know anything.
“[She was] Going to Oprah [and] Saying, ‘I had no idea how racist they were.’ This is the royal family, you didn’t google them—? They are the real racists. They invented colonialism,” he said on stage, adding, “They invested in slavery like it was a ‘shark tank.’
The comedian then claimed to know what the Duchess was “going through”, saying, “I know her dilemma: black girl trying to be accepted by her white in-laws.”
Rock said: “Oh, it’s hard. It’s hard, it’s hard – but it’s not as hard as a white girl trying to be accepted by her black in-laws. Now it’s really hard. Is! “
