Royal historian Marlene Koenig said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will still have a safe place to live in Britain now that they have lost Frogmore Cottage.
She was commenting on reports that the couple had been asked to vacate their UK home following the release of the Duke of Sussex book sparring.
Journalist and unofficial Meghan and Harry biographer Hope Scooby said moving their Windsor home from Sussex meant it was covered by police protection, meaning the couple had “one place left to live”. Satisfies the security needs of four people while driving home” to take away.
However, Marlene Koenig argued that royal residences could provide a safe haven for Meghan, Harry and their children when they travel to the UK.
Speaking to Express.com she said, “Prince Harry apparently sees Frogmore Cottage as ‘the only place that’s safe’ which is a strange comment to me.
The historian added, “Why? There are plenty of rooms at Windsor Castle where they could stay if they chose to come to Britain.”
It is still unclear whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will attend King Charles’ coronation in May.
